Google Play Music allows you to play any music file on your Android device without having to look around in your Android directories for it. Unfortunately, the Play Music app did not have the ability to Play Music on a Micro-SD Card, and for people with little internal storage on their device, this was a big problem. Luckily, the new Google Play Music update fixes this problem. The update description states that the Micro-SD Cards are compatible with devices running Android 4.4 KitKat, and still experimental with devices not compatible with KitKat or devices that have yet to update to KitKat.
Putting the obvious aside, you will need a device capable of a Micro SD Card for this to work, and not all devices have the SD card slot. Also, if you arent using KitKat, it might not work, or it may work but with some bugs.
Of course the lack of being able to use an SD Card may not seem like a huge problem you always have internal storage right? Unfortunately, the standard Android device comes with a 16 GB maximum, and most of the storage is taken up by formatting and the OS, on top of that is app and other media, which is why Micro-SD has become a growing option, and this update really helps with that.
The update has officially become public, so wait for it to ask for permission, or just keep hitting that refresh button on the Play Store until it shows up. If you dont already have Google Play Music, be sure to hit the download link below.

The Play Store has been once again updated and of course we have the download for you. The version is 4.5.10, and the most noticeable, as well as awesome, feature that was added is the fact that there is an indicator to let you know there is in-app purchases. Its always nice to know if an app is going to be bugging you to upgrade to the full version with a price tag. The review section of the Play Store has also seen a tweak, making the 5-star rating system bigger, and they have added a edit button to edit your reviews for the app. You are also given the option to delete your review, so it is looking like they are making it more user friendly, similar to a social media platform.
There has also been an activity feed added to this version, giving the user the ability to share what they have browsed through to their Google+ page. The feed will also show your +1s, ratings, and whatever else youd like to share. Other little tweaks like colors of the 5 stars have been changed, so if you want to check it all out, we have the download link below that will lead you to our download page with official changelog. Let us know how you like this new version of the Play Store.

When Google announced its newest build of Android, what we now know to be Android 4.4 KitKat, we were very surprised to hear that the Galaxy Nexus would not be receiving an update from Google itself. This was not only surprising because the Galaxy Nexus is the next most recent Nexus device after the Nexus 4, but also because Google made waves with its assurance that Android 4.4 would run on devices with only 512MB RAM, a criteria that the Galaxy Nexus meets comfortably. Understandably, owners of the phone were understandably upset, but not to be deterred, some determined developers over at XDA have knocked out a CyanogenMod 11 ROM for the Galaxy Nexus which will give the phone some of that KitKat goodness.
The ROM is technically still in beta due to some missing common [CyanogenMod] features, but other than some minor issues with the camera and screenshot functions, the ROM looks like it is stable and works pretty well. If youre interested in getting this CM11 ROM for your Galaxy Nexus, you can visit the XDA Forum page to get more info and download links:

Im still interested to know why Googles didnt try to integrate the viewing cube into the glasses themselves, only because at certain angles youll likely get some pretty intense glare and reflections from two reflective sources. Even so, Im looking forward to the day when this actually rolls out and fellow glasses-wearing techies can join in the Google Glass craze.
Are you also excited about prescription Google Glass? Let us know in the comments.

Google+ has added a pair of new features to its photo and image sharing features, just in time for the winter. Effective immediately, any pictures you upload to Google+ with snow or lights, youll get an Autoawesome version of the photos. Theyre fairly simple little tweaks, but pretty sweet nonetheless. It appears, from our first photos that it does not add or twinkle the colored lights but rather just a flicker to the white spots.
If anything, these just breathe new life into your ordinary winter and holiday shots.
Consider these a .gif(t) to you from Google!
You are uploading your photos to Google+ as a place to back everything up, right? Youd better be. What are you going to do if that phone goes missing or ends up broken?
