Toonalook "toonalook", our 6m wood epoxy clinker putt putt was conceived after a long association with the old pompie built port philip bay clinker fishing boats of the 1960's and 70's. both tim and i own pompie clinker putt putts and they have proven to be great day boats for the gippsland lakes.. 16 ft putt putt a just completed 16’ putt-putt open dinghy. the boat has a fibreglass clinker “kinney” hull and has been completely fitted out in traditional marine timbers. the engine is a classic 5hp two-cylinder, two stroke, british stuart turner marine engine, with ahead and astern gearbox and has been fully re-conditioned.. In the next couple of months i plan to begin building a clinker putt putt. construction will be epoxy & ply. i've looked around a bit for plans and what i'm really after is something around 16' to 16'6". david payne's snapper boat looks like an option but it's maybe a little long at 17' and doesn't seem to have a lot of sheer..
